Nature Transformed
APRIL 10 - MAY 31
Whether natural or man made, Nature serves an endless source of inspiration. Nature Transformed features four artists who find their connection with nature a pretext for their work. Ty Bishop’s paintings derive from manipulated photographs of natural landscapes. Erika Huddleston works plein air, immersing herself in natural sites and responds to her environment. Treg Miller walks the streets and alleys documenting the seemingly mundane electrical boxes and meters that power urban life. Jameysn LiDistri creates striking figural portraits that employ abstracted natural features as framing devices. The ways in which these artists translate and transform the natural world into their work imbues a sense of beauty and introspection easily overlooked in modern life.
